10-YEAR ROM CELEBRATION GATHERING
Celebrating Together the First Ten Years
13th-27th July, 2008

The objectives of the 10-Year ROM Celebration Gathering are to look back and to look forward, thanking God for His leadership so far and seeking His wisdom and guidance regarding the future.

As we look back we will celebrate cross-generational and cross-cultural friendship; acknowledge and learn from each other, and be encouraged by each others’ experiences and success; and through workshops, seminars and dialogue forums asses the challenges our societies have had over the last ten years and the formative impact the ROM experience has had on our lives and the lives of others.

As we look forward we will create a “generational bridge” connecting the two eras of ROM development – the one since 1999 and the new one commencing in 2009; asses the current regional and global needs and challenges in the areas of reconciliation and leadership development; indentify together ways in which ROM could better serve the regional and international community; through workshops, seminars and dialogue forums discuss the ways in which ROM and its networking partners could serve the region and the world more deliberately and strategically in the areas of reconciliation, peace building and ethical leadership development; and seek to go deeper in our understanding of what it means for a leader to be follow Jesus of Nazareth undividedly, holistically and with understanding.

We are expecting that the 10-Year ROM Celebration Gathering will be a solemn, joyful, forward looking and crucial event helping us map the long term plans for ROM and its service to Southeast Europe.
